Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Natalka Cmoc Was Received in Vinnytsia
23 July 2024, 09:08
«We introduced the Ambassador to the community. We discussed the social and economic challenges we face today and those that are expected in the future. We also focused on how we can contribute to the rehabilitation of our defenders by adopting the Canadian experience," Mayor Serhii Morhunov wrote on Facebook.
During the meeting, representatives of the municipality and international partners raised an important issue: the updated Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada, which comes into effect this month.
Vinnytsia, in particular, has great potential to strengthen its economic performance, and it is important that local entrepreneurs have the opportunity to take advantage of this agreement.
"As a community, it is important for us to increase our economic potential. So we hope to continue the dialogue between Vinnytsia and Canadian businesses. I thank Madame Ambassador for her visit and support of Ukraine and our people. In the midst of a major war, it is important to understand that we are not alone in this struggle," emphasized Serhii Morhunov.
