08 November 2023, 08:47
This week, representatives of the Czech Republic arrived in Vinnytsia on a working visit. Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov met with the Advisor to the Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic and Vice President of the International Diplomatic Mission of Public Diplomacy - Head of the Mission to the Czech Republic, as well as with business representatives of the Czech Republic to discuss further cooperation between our community and the friendly Czech Republic.
During the meeting, they discussed investment projects that the municipality plans to implement for the benefit of the entire community.
Serhii Morhunov spoke about how the full-scale war has affected the Vinnytsia community: the integration of internally displaced persons, the process of relocating businesses from other regions, establishing friendly relations with foreign partners, and the key priorities of the city council, including security and defense, sustainability, and care. The mechanisms implemented by the city authorities to develop the economy were also highlighted. One of the successful projects is industrial parks, of which there are already four registered in Vinnytsia. It is on these sites that industry is developing - an integral part of the future development of the whole of Ukraine.
"We talked about cooperation in terms of economic development, ecology, and energy efficiency in the community. We also talked about our plans to attract external donors to implement investment projects. The goal is practical: to improve the life of the community. We are currently paying considerable attention to industry and innovations that will strengthen our position in the post-war reconstruction. However, we must also take care of accessible infrastructure designed for people's comfort. The Czech Republic has become a reliable partner of Ukraine and we are grateful to our colleagues for their solidarity. We look forward to fruitful cooperation in the future!" said Serhii Morhunov.
Advisor to the Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Vodný, Vice President of the International Diplomatic Mission of Public Diplomacy - Head of the Mission in the Czech Republic Volodymyr Kosmyna and representatives of Czech business expressed their support for Ukraine in its fight against the enemy and noted that they were ready to contribute to the development of our community.
