On March 6-7, Poland hosts the VIII European Congress of Local Governments. The event is organized by the Institute of Eastern Studies and the Warmian–Masurian Voivodeship. A delegation from Vinnytsia City Council joined the congress. Maksym Martianov, Director of the City Council's Department of Economy and Investments, presented the investment potential of Vinnytsia. He also spoke about the work to increase investment attractiveness: the arrangement of appropriate infrastructure, support and benefits of industrial parks.
This year, about 2,000 people attended the European Congress. These are the heads of Polish and European local governments, representatives of central authorities, business, science, culture, non-governmental organizations, etc. The slogan of this year's Congress is "New Solidarity for a New Era".
Maksym Martianov, Director of the Department of Economy and Investments of Vinnytsia City Council, joined the economic block of the Congress.
"Vinnytsia City Council is constantly working to increase investment attractiveness and find potential investors for Vinnytsia. Especially now, during the martial law, it is important to do this work. After all, the economy should not stop, only in this way the community will be able to support its residents and our Armed Forces. We need to strengthen the economy without waiting for victory, and work now, everyone in their place," says Maksym Martianov.
He told what Vinnytsia is doing to make industrial parks a growth area so that businesses feel comfortable in our community. Maksym Martianov also noted that the exchange of views with international experts on attracting investors was very useful. "I heard a lot of useful things. We will continue to work to attract investments to Vinnytsia community, create new jobs and improve the well-being of Vinnytsia residents," says Maksym Martianov.
The congress will last for two days. There will be 12 thematic areas covering more than 120 events. These include plenary sessions, program blocks, master classes, lectures, reports, discussions, etc.
