The rehabilitation department at the city clinical hospital has been operating for only a year, says Tetiana Katilova, medical director for the organization of surgical care and rehabilitation treatment. The department is currently expanding, so it needs new professional equipment.

"The rehabilitation department of our institution is expanding, and we plan to improve it. It has been operating for a year. It has 40 beds. Now we are expanding it to 60 beds, making the conditions for our patients as comfortable as possible. Accordingly, we have an urgent issue of adding modern rehabilitation equipment," says Tetiana Katilova.

The SPRINTEX rehabilitation complex, which was received today from the partner city of Münster, is a treadmill with a suspension system. It is used to treat both civilian and military patients with neurological, cardiopulmonary and musculoskeletal disorders.

"This is a comprehensive approach to treatment. That is, we can monitor the patient's condition. We can see their performance during training, adjust the load and speed of the treadmill. The suspension system allows us to reduce the load on the patient's lower limbs and spine. It can be used as an integrated approach for the treatment of neurological patients, post-stroke patients, patients with peripheral nervous system and musculoskeletal system pathologies," adds the medical director.

This is not the first aid for the rehabilitation unit from the German partner city. The municipalities of Vinnytsia and Münster are in constant communication, says Oleksandr Shysh, director of the city council's health department.

"This assistance is the result of long-term cooperation and friendly relations between the cities. Recently, an international conference was held in Germany, which was also attended by representatives of Vinnytsia healthcare institutions. We see a sincere interest of our German partners in helping Ukraine and Vinnytsia," adds Oleksandr Shysh.

It should be noted that along with the medical equipment, the partner city of Münster handed over a special crane to Vinnytsia to be used in the construction of municipal housing.
