Generators, Heaters and Other Supplies: Humanitarian Cargo Arrives in Vinnytsia from Partner City Ventspils
29 August 2023, 08:49
Mayor Serhii Morhunov inspected the cargo and thanked the Latvian partners for all the help they are providing to Vinnytsia in such a difficult time.
"We are grateful to Ventspils, its residents and Mayor Jānis Vītoliņš! Help in difficult times is extremely valuable for us," said Serhii Morhunov.
Advisor to the Mayor Olha Parvadova noted that Vinnytsia and Ventspils started developing bilateral relations last year.
"Back in September last year, representatives of our community signed a partnership agreement with the municipality of Ventspils. It provides for bilateral relations through the exchange of experience and municipal practices in various areas of the socio-economic sphere," noted Olha Parvadova.
It is worth noting that this is not the first cargo that Vinnytsia has received from the municipality of Ventspils. For example, after the russian shelling of critical infrastructure facilities, the Latvian partners handed over 2 diesel generators with a capacity of 50 kW and 60 kW to Vinnytsia.
