Results of Community Development for the First Half of the Year Summarized in Vinnytsia

On August 12, the Executive Committee of the City Council approved the implementation of the Program of Economic and Social Development of Vinnytsia City Territorial Community for the first half of 2021. In Vinnytsia, there is a resumption of business activity – the industry has reached the pre-quarantine level. And the main financial resources of the community were directed to the completion of important infrastructure facilities. First of all, for the completion of the construction of the main building of the Emergency Hospital and for the reconstruction of the premises of the sports complex on Yanhelia Street. City roads, utilities, and high-rise buildings were also overhauled.

Director of the Department of Economy and Investment of the City Council Maksym Martianov spoke about the development trends for 6 months: “Analysis of the current economic situation shows that Vinnytsia City Territorial Community has good results in the first half of the year. Among the positive facts should be noted the gradual recovery of consumer demand. With regard to industry, sales in the reporting period reached the pre-quarantine level. However, the passenger transport sector has suffered the most from the tightening of coronavirus quarantine restrictions. After all, the volume of passenger traffic by municipal transport in January-June 2021 decreased by 60.3%, including electric transport by 69.3% compared to the same period in 2019, when there was no pandemic and the corresponding restrictions.”

At the same time, important investment projects have been launched in Vinnytsia. The construction of the plant by HEAD Group for the production of equipment for winter sports has started. Reconstruction of the premises for the creation of the municipal innovation and technology park Krystal has begun. Together with the KNESS group of companies, we signed a memorandum on the creation of a comprehensive energy supply system for Vinnytsia Industrial Park. In addition, we continued cooperation within the project of decentralized cooperation with the city of Dijon (France).

Significant financial resources of the community were directed to infrastructure facilities. In particular, for the completion of the main building of the Emergency Clinical Hospital, reconstruction of the sports complex on Yanhelia Street and kindergarten №16. Reconstruction of the building for the tourist hub has begun. The renewal of the sports base of educational institutions continued, namely on the territory of schools №29 and №12.

As part of the Budget of Public Initiatives competition, performed work on several projects: a playground on Serheieva-Tsenskoho street, beach volleyball court on Khimik beach, recreation area near City Clinical Hospital №3.

The construction of two kindergartens continued – in the Tiazhyliv district and in the village of Vinnytski Khutory. The facilities plan to be commissioned by the end of the year.

In the first half of the year, several road network development projects were also implemented in Vinnytsia. The overhaul of Halchevskoho Street (from Moskovska Street to Shepelia Street) and Sabarivske Shose was completed and the second stage of reconstruction started on Danyla Nechaia Street (in the area from Moskovska Street to Bratslavska Street).

Vinnytsia Transport Company has continued the VinLine project: two autonomous trolleybuses have been launched. Also this year, two new bus and two new trolleybus routes were launched in the community. In addition, agreements have been reached on the purchase of environmentally friendly gas buses to improve transport links.

As for the modernization of the housing stock, during this period, 30 high-rise buildings were overhauled and 8 ramps were installed near the entrances.

In January, a municipal building on Maiakovskoho Street, 138, for 80 apartments was put into operation Also under the program began construction of another house on Bortniaka street.

In the private sector, more than 400 m of sewerage networks have been built with co-financing from residents. In addition, the city has modernized almost 1.3 km of engineering networks.

“We need to understand how the social infrastructure is developing in these areas, what are the urgent issues. In particular, in the primary care, health, education, sports and social protection of people living in these communities. As for filling the budget of Vinnytsia, it is necessary to cooperate with small and medium-sized businesses in terms of paying the relevant taxes and filling the development budget. In order for our entire Vinnytsia community to develop, there must be a team approach and joint work in everything,” said the mayor.
