New Business Ties with Europeans: Vinnytsia Delegation Takes Part in Polish-Ukrainian Conference on Reconstruction
23 November 2023, 08:57
The conference "Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation for Reconstruction and Strategic Partnership" started in the Polish city of Kielce. The event brought together representatives of Kielce and the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, as well as Polish investors, along with representatives of Vinnytsia City Council, Vinnytsia and relocated businesses. The main goal of the event was to establish partnerships and find new business contacts with Europeans.
Deputy Mayor Andrii Ocheretnyi spoke on behalf of the Vinnytsia community. He presented our industrial parks to foreign partners, whose dynamic growth has become an example for many other Ukrainian communities.
"Thanks to the Armed Forces, who keep the enemy at the front line, we are able to strengthen the development of industry, which is essential for the economy and, therefore, for defense capabilities. We are also joined at the conference by representatives of Vinnytsia Regional Council headed by Viacheslav Sokolovyi and entrepreneurs from all over Vinnytsia region, who shared their best practices and discussed the need to strengthen Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the process of rebuilding Ukraine. Many Vinnytsia entrepreneurs who have entered the European market have their offices abroad, including in Poland," he said. "This year, I would like to remind you that we celebrated the 65th anniversary of the twinning between Kielce and Vinnytsia. Polish partners became a reliable support for us at the beginning of the full-scale invasion and continue to help in various ways. I am very pleased that our colleagues understand the need to rebuild Ukraine right now, during the war, and are ready to contribute to strengthening our economic potential. We have a lot of plans and ideas that we can implement together. We are grateful to our Polish friends for their support."
In Kielce, the Vinnytsia delegation was met by the city's president, Bogdan Wenta, and the head of international cooperation at Kielce City Council, Karol Gadowski. According to Andrii Ocheretnyi, the Polish partners presented the economic, scientific, and social potential of their city and expressed their willingness to share their experience and best practices so that Vinnytsia could also develop and become a strong and successful community.
