Serhii Morhunov: Kielce, a Sister City of Vinnytsia, Organized a Fundraiser for Ukrainians

Residents of the Polish city of Kielce, with which Vinnytsia has been twinned for more than 60 years, are collecting humanitarian aid in solidarity with Ukraine. They bring medicines, food, warm clothes, blankets. Funds are transferred to charitable accounts for Ukrainian refugees. The Mayor Serhii Morhunov wrote about it on his Facebook page.
"The city has already received about three hundred victims from Ukraine, many residents of Kielce offer shelter in their homes. Humanitarian cargoes to Vinnytsia from the friendly cities of Radom and Tarnów are also being formed. Polish communities are in solidarity with us, because we are united by common European values, where there is no place for aggression and hatred. I am constantly in touch with our colleagues from Kielce - they ask how can they help. I feel the support of thousands of people. I was asked to convey to the people of Vinnytsia that Poles are proud of Ukrainians, care about us and are confident of our victory. We will stop the brown plague of the XXI century," said the head of Vinnytsia Serhii Morhunov.
Karol Gadowski, a representative of Kielce City Government and coordinator of cooperation with foreign countries, said in a telephone conversation that Kielce residents are worried about Ukraine and its people.
"There are a lot of people who want to help Ukrainian refugees. We have connected our cultural institutions, schools, universities. Everyone helps. Our people provide housing and food to refugees from Ukraine. They can receive free medical care and are delivered free of charge by train to their place of residence. Ukrainian refugees will also be able to travel on public transport in the city and not pay. We all support you, we care about you and we are proud of you," says Karol Gadowski.
