Yesterday, on January 23, a delegation of foreigners arrived in Vinnytsia on a working visit: Douglas Baker and Ed Wilson from the US, representatives of the international consulting firm Baker Global Advisory, as well as Yugoslav Karic, Head of International Business Development at BK Tesla, a construction company. They met with Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov to discuss the challenges faced by Vinnytsia community due to the full-scale war and to develop a mechanism to support the city.
During the meeting, Serhii Morhunov presented the potential of Vinnytsia community and its achievements in terms of infrastructure, economic and social development. He also noted that the municipality has a strategic vision for further growth, but that the city has now stepped up its operational response to the challenges posed by the war.
"Our guests expressed their support for Ukraine in the war against the russian aggressor. During the meeting, we talked about strengthening humanitarian aid for Vinnytsia, as well as attracting investments in the reconstruction and post-war recovery of our communities. Thousands of infrastructure facilities across Ukraine have been destroyed, including in Vinnytsia. We discussed the challenges we have faced because of the war, and many of them are related to the further rehabilitation of military and civilians. That is why we now face an important task - to return them to normal life by integrating them into society. At the same time, we need to create conditions for Ukrainians from abroad to return home. We look forward to fruitful cooperation and support from our partners," said Serhii Morhunov.
