Serhii Morhunov Met with the Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine Mr. Matti Maasikas
14 January 2022, 11:33
During the meeting, the mayor stressed the importance of local government to have its own resources for development. For example, due to financial decentralization, the development budget of Vinnytsia has increased fivefold. This allowed for comprehensive reconstruction of streets, modernization of hospitals and purchase of new vehicles.

"Therefore, we are very concerned about the trend of curtailing decentralization. After all, the implementation of the plans of the Vinnytsia 3.0 Strategy depends on this," said Serhii Morhunov. "It is important that Europe supports the formation of communities in the process of decentralization. EU countries are reliable partners for Ukraine and Vinnytsia as well. Our city will continue to cooperate with European institutions in various fields for sustainable development."
