According to Forbes, the purpose of the study is to help investors choose the optimal geography for the development of their projects. This year, a number of changes were made to the study, including an indicator of pandemic preparedness.

The overall result of Vinnytsia is 677 points, the gap with the leader of the rating is only 25 points. The city consistently receives high scores on all 10 key criteria. These are: transparency of the city government; business activity; regional Doing Business; purchasing power; transport connection; security; education; pandemic preparedness; migratory attractiveness; ecological situation.

In particular, the level of transparency of the city authorities and security in Vinnytsia was highly appreciated. Among the best is the BRDO rating "Regional Doing Business", which assesses the ease of setting up a business, obtaining building permits, land registration, local taxes and electronic services. The Forbes rating states that 74% of residents are satisfied with the city's development.

"Why is it important for Vinnytsia to be at the top of business rankings? This helps investors to make a choice in favor of our city. Especially in Vinnytsia, there are examples of successful big business. This year the HEAD project for the construction of the plant was launched, the Green Cool production is being expanded, and we are working on the Krystal Innovation Park. A corrugated cardboard factory, large logistics centers are also being built, new directions in the field of mechanical engineering and electricity storage are being developed, and the processing of agricultural products is deepening. A dynamic economy determines the well-being of a community," says Serhii Morhunov.

Forbes stressed that the points of this year's rating cannot be compared with the points of the 2020 rating. After all, the methodology of calculation has changed from some indicators: in particular, the components of individual criteria, their periods, the geographical basis of calculation.

In total, 38 cities of Ukraine with a population of over 90,000 people were evaluated.
