Support from Partners Is Important: Humanitarian Aid Arrives in Vinnytsia from Karlsruhe
01 May 2024, 10:45
Another humanitarian aid shipment has arrived in Vinnytsia, collected by residents of the twin city of Karlsruhe. German partners do not stand aside and organize charity fairs to support Vinnytsia residents. This time, they sent one car filled with various things to our community, most of which are intended for Vinnytsia educational institutions.
Halyna Yakubovych, Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia, thanked the residents of Karlsruhe for their concern and support for Vinnytsia.
"Vinnytsia community continues to work within the framework of its priorities, among which security and defense are the top priorities, and the municipality continues to build protective structures so that kindergarten and school children feel protected during air raids. The aid shipment is intended for one of the city's lyceums. The construction of a radiation shelter for 850 people is currently being completed there, it will be equipped with seats, first aid kits, blankets, and large water supplies so that children can comfortably wait out the air alert and even continue their studies," said Halyna Yakubovych. "We are sincerely grateful that Karlsruhe community does not stand aside and continues to help Vinnytsia. Support from partners is extremely important and gives us hope that together we can overcome all challenges!"
The German friends managed to fit a lot of humanitarian aid in the car. In addition to supplies for Vinnytsia's educational institutions, the humanitarian cargo included items for children: strollers, clothes and shoes, backpacks and toys, etc. The humanitarian aid also included outerwear, mattresses and blankets, cots, and various household items.
We would like to remind you that communication between Vinnytsia and Karlsruhe began in the spring of 2022 on the initiative of the German side to establish twin city relations with Vinnytsia City Territorial Community. It is since then that our communities have established close friendly relations.
