Sustainable development, economic growth and strengthening of strategic partnerships with international companies. These are the main objectives of the memorandum of cooperation signed yesterday, 5 November, by Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov with Nabil Sioufi, President of Early Bird Global and Head of Investment at SRDB Law Firm.
Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov said that by signing the document, the city authorities, together with their partners, are laying the foundation for further community development. Thus, according to him, the Memorandum provides for cooperation and coordination of actions to find additional resources for the implementation of projects covering the following areas: water supply, sewage, renewable energy and urban transport.
‘The implementation of these three areas is important for us. Each of them is a priority, but the key one is the quality of drinking water, as well as energy independence and energy security, which are no less important in times of war. Given the large number of IDPs and relocated businesses, as well as the intensification of russian troops in east and south of Ukraine, which will bring even more newcomers to our community, barrier-free access, including public transport, remains equally important. We understand that this is a long term prospect, but we have to work on it now,’ said Serhii Morhunov.
Nabil Sioufi, President of Early Bird Global and Head of Investment at SRDB Law Firm, added that he is determined to make every effort to achieve success in the implementation of these projects.
‘We are optimistic and ready to overcome all obstacles. I would like to note that the long-term perspective begins today and Vinnytsia can be a leader in the context of cooperation with international companies on the topics that have been mentioned. We also have to achieve short-term goals and start working as soon as possible,’ he said.
