The First Humanitarian Cargo from Abroad Arrived in Vinnytsia - Serhii Morhunov

Today, March 1, humanitarian aid was delivered to Vinnytsia from Poland. The packages contain medicines and necessary medical supplies. Volunteers are currently sorting and distributing them in the city's hospitals. Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov thanked the partners for their help.

"Our friends from the Polish cities of Tarnów and Radom sent a truck with medicines and medical supplies. Bandages, tourniquets, syringes, elastic bandages, wound dressings, painkillers, antipyretics, antibiotics, medications for children and more. Poland was the first to respond. We also expect deliveries from our sister city Kielce. I also talked to the Mayor of Lithuanian Panevėžys - they are also preparing cargo. We need medicines, bulletproof vests, helmets. The communities of the USA, Canada, France, and Switzerland responded. Cities of Birmingham, Dijon, Zurich. The whole democratic world, through municipalities and business, supports us not only in word but also in deed. Thank you friends! I am also proud of our Vinnytsia residents, who are more active and united than ever. Everything is for defense, everything is for the protection of the city and Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!” says Serhii Morhunov.

Help from Poland was delivered to the volunteer center. Valentyna Voitkova, director of the social policy department of the City Council, notes that volunteers are currently sorting out the transferred funds.

"Today the volunteer center started working. These medicines and supplies are extremely important to our community. We are very grateful that people from different cities of the world connect and sympathize with us," said Valentyna Voitkova.
