For two weeks, schoolchildren will travel, study, and gain new experiences in Nancy at the level of child diplomacy.

The children went on the trip accompanied by Vinnytsia teachers. According to French teacher Olha Kuzmenko, her students will have many new acquaintances and positive experiences ahead of them.

The stay in France, including accommodation, meals, and internal transportation for Vinnytsia children and their chaperones, is funded by the partners.

The Department of Education of the City Council notes that the lyceum students from Vinnytsia will stay in France for two weeks. During this time, they will get acquainted with European educational programs, take excursions to places of interest, and communicate with their French peers, with the greatest attention paid to extracurricular activities that will be held jointly with Nancy schoolchildren.

"This is not the first trip of Vinnytsia schoolchildren to the twin cities of Vinnytsia. Last year there were several such trips. In 2024, the trip to Nancy will be the first. This is an unforgettable adventure for our children, who, unfortunately, have already seen a lot of negative things at their young age: war, air raids, lessons in shelters... We hope that two weeks in another country and in a new city will fill the children with vivid and unforgettable impressions. We believe in the power of children's diplomacy for the development of international educational cooperation," said Oksana Yatsenko, Director of the Education Department of the City Council.

This trip is part of the cooperation between the Vinnytsia municipality and the French city of Nancy and thanks to the European organization Euro Prykhystok.

Stanislav Kutsenko, director of Euro Prykhystok, expressed his hopes for the trip: "We are very pleased to organize this trip for children from Vinnytsia. Our goal is to provide them with the opportunity to get acquainted with French culture, expand their knowledge, experience an unforgettable adventure, and most importantly, to take their minds off the war."
