In the discussion of destination management models in Ukraine, the representative of Vinnytsia revealed the stages of development of tourism management and marketing over the past decade, emphasizing the strategic approaches that have been implemented in our city since 2018.

"The main tasks of the Vinnytsia destination management reform are effective marketing and ensuring the ecosystem of sustainable tourism, which affects both the community's economy and the development of cultural and social ties at various levels," said Oleksandr Vesselenyi. "Only in the joint efforts of the public sector, business and government is it possible to effectively increase the tourist offer and attract new tourist flows. The first municipal tourist hub in Ukraine should become a center of concentration of all qualitative changes in Vinnytsia. Stimulating the emergence of such an association is one of the priorities of the city council."

Also in the discussion of the importance of the development of international cooperation in tourism, the peculiarities of the formation of cultural routes of the Council of Europe were revealed. This year, Ukraine joined the extended partial agreement on them. According to Stefano Dominioni, director of the Institute for Cultural Routes in Luxembourg, networking between regions and countries allows us to move away from traditional competition in tourism and provide a more sustainable vector for the development of attractive areas and their cultural heritage.

President of the National Tourist Organization of Ukraine Ivan Liptuga noted the positive experience of the first stage of the Podillia Route of St. James in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi, which in the future will connect Ukraine to the first certified cultural route of the Council of Europe, Camino de Santiago.
