The event was supported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the Association of Ukrainian Cities, and others. Its goal was to help attract additional international financial resources for the treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian military and civilians affected by russian military aggression, as well as to establish cooperation between Ukrainian healthcare professionals and representatives of partner countries on financial, humanitarian, and social issues.

The format of the event included an intergovernmental press briefing by representatives of Ukraine, the EU, and other countries. There was also a presentation at the marathon of projects for the rehabilitation, restoration, and reconstruction of medical infrastructure, which was attended by 27 participants from Ukraine, including Vinnytsia residents with a project for City Clinical Hospital No. 1. For this, Vinnytsia representatives received a certificate. The Vinnytsia representatives spoke about the creation of multi-cluster hospital No. 1 in the process of healthcare reform in Ukraine and the opening of a rehabilitation department in 2023.

"Rehabilitation of patients in Ukraine is of particular importance nowadays, as doctors treat, among others, the military who defend our country and often return from the front with injuries and need treatment and rehabilitation. The rehabilitation department of City Clinical Hospital No. 1 is in demand and receives patients not only from Vinnytsia but also from other regions of Ukraine. The local authorities did a lot to open this unit, as well as the help of Vinnytsia's partner city of Münster. It was from this German city that we received rehabilitation equipment. However, we see prospects for further development and need the equipment necessary for rehabilitation: equipment for rehabilitation exercises, motorized medical devices, a rehabilitation table, a mattress with a compressor, and a verticalizer table. We talked to potential donors and manufacturers of medical equipment presented at the event about this, as well as about rehabilitation methods," said Nataliia Korobchynska.

The rehabilitation unit development project was also presented at an individual stand. Visitors to the event had the opportunity to get acquainted with the exposition, talk to representatives of Vinnytsia and discuss prospects for potential partnerships, establishing contacts with manufacturers, donors, and investors.

In addition, Vinnytsia representatives visited exhibition pavilions of France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, the Republic of Korea, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Austria, and exchanged experience, contacts, and learned about the latest equipment for rehabilitation and prosthetics. Nataliia Korobchynska and Tetiana Katilova also met with partners from Sweden, Germany, and France, with whom Vinnytsia already has joint projects. The Vinnytsia healthcare specialists also attended a reception hosted by Etienne de Poncins, the French Ambassador to Poland, by invitation.

"At the ReBuild Ukraine event, we announced Vinnytsia, our project, and exchanged contacts and information with partners. We are currently establishing contacts with potential investors and donors. We hope that we have made foreigners interested in our work and look forward to deepening our partnership," summarized Nataliia Korobchynska.
