Vinnytsia Representatives as Part of the Ukrainian Delegation Studied Israel's Experience in Security

In early December, the Israeli international platform MUNIWORLD presented a three-day program dedicated to global sustainability, municipal innovation, urban planning and mobility. The Ukrainian delegation, which included residents of Vinnytsia, took part in this event. Among other things, they visited the factory for the production of security rooms and protective structures RB DOORS. Such experience is currently very relevant for our country. There were also many meetings on the topic of innovations in municipal administration. Further cooperation between Vinnytsia and our sister city of Bat Yam was discussed.

Mayors and high-ranking officials from the world's leading cities (about 10,000 people) gathered to demonstrate the best "smart city" solutions, exchange experiences and discuss key issues facing modern cities. The Ukrainian delegation, organized by the Israel-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association of Cities of Ukraine, took part in this event. As part of their visit, representatives of the city councils of Odesa, Vinnytsia and Poltava attended the official opening in Tel Aviv with the participation of the President of the State of Israel, held meetings with the mayors of Israeli cities, attended a reception by the mayor of Jerusalem and got acquainted with the innovative solutions of the Israeli capital.

The Israel-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and Industry has prepared a separate program for the delegates to visit the RB DOORS factory for the production of security rooms and protective structures in the city of Ashkelon. It included a tour of the factory and a demonstration of industrial capacities and a discussion of the Israeli model of regulating the construction of protective structures to ensure the safety of the civilian population and infrastructure.

Vinnytsia was represented in the Ukrainian delegation by Deputy Mayor Halyna Yakubovych and Director of the Department of Social Policy of the City Council Valentyna Voitkova.

"During the trip, we had interesting, meaningful and professional meetings on issues of innovation in municipal administration. We held a meeting with the mayor and managers of Bat Yam, a twin city of Vinnytsia. We discussed further steps in the cooperation of our territorial communities. We also got acquainted with the practical experience of creating protective rooms - "mamads" to ensure the safety of citizens. We visited a factory in the city of Ashkelon, which has 50 years of experience in manufacturing components for such protective rooms and protective spaces. This is very relevant today for our country," said Halyna Yakubovych.

MUNIWORLD 2022 is part of the international municipal innovation exhibition and conference MUNIEXPO, held by the Federation of Local Councils of Israel in cooperation with the Israeli capital, Jerusalem.
