Vinnytsia Schools and Kindergartens Receive Powerful Generators from Münster

Thanks to the joint efforts of the municipalities of Münster and Vinnytsia, as well as Rotarians from both cities, our local community received 10 powerful generators to be installed in schools and kindergartens in the city.
‘In total, we received 3 generators with a capacity of 90 kW, 2 with a capacity of 80 kW and 5 with a capacity of 62 kW. This equipment will allow educational institutions to operate autonomously, ensuring an uninterrupted educational process even if there is a power outage. Thanks to these generators, schools and kindergartens will be able not only to continue education in the event of an emergency, but also to provide children with hot meals, which is an important aspect in such conditions,’ says Irнna Bozhok, Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Vinnytsia City Council.
This is not only technical assistance, but also an important part of the long-term cooperation between Vinnytsia and Münster, says Ivan Vekirchyk, president of the Rotary Club Vinnytsia Initiative.
‘In partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Münster, the Rotary Club Vinnytsia Initiative and the city councils of both cities, we managed to provide Vinnytsia schools and kindergartens with powerful generators. Together we are working for the stability and development of our community, which allows us to respond effectively to today's challenges,’ adds Ivan Vekirchyk.
Thanks to this initiative, resilience centres will be able to operate steadily in 30 schools in the city.
These stations were previously equipped with smaller generators, but the new ones will now provide full power supply to all educational institutions, from shelters to canteens.
